La Maison d’Otis | Historic Old Town, Mediterranean Views and Steps from the Beach

Welcome to La Maison d’Otis, our completely remodeled home in the heart of historic Old Town Menton. The home is located in a historic building with 17th century origins on Rue Longue, one of the oldest and most atmospheric streets in Menton.

The location is truly special. Step outside and you are surrounded by the colorful buildings, small cafés, restaurants and winding streets that make Old Menton so beautiful. Directly in front of the Old Town is Les Sablettes, a wonderful beach with calm, shallow Mediterranean water and excellent waterfront restaurants.

The home is arranged across three charming levels, with the entrance located on the upper level.

On the upper level is the main bedroom, where a large window offers beautiful views across the Mediterranean and toward the Italian coastline. This level also has a separate shower room and a separate toilet room.

One level down is the heart of the home, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and private balcony outside the kitchen. The balcony is a wonderful place to enjoy the Mediterranean view. The living room includes a Samsung Smart TV with streaming capabilities, and guests may sign in to their own streaming accounts.

The lowest level has a private second bedroom with cozy, cave style character. Beside the bedroom is a second toilet and vanity, along with a washer and dryer.

The home accommodates up to five guests and is especially well suited for families. There are two bedrooms with one bed in each, one separate shower room and two separate toilets. For a fifth guest, the comfortable living room sofa can be prepared as an additional sleeping space, with linens provided upon advance request. A travel crib is also available upon request for an infant or toddler.

Wake up to Mediterranean views from the main bedroom, spend the morning swimming at Les Sablettes, enjoy lunch along the promenade and walk home through streets that have been here for centuries.

Menton offers a wonderful mix of France and Italy and is an ideal base for exploring the French Riviera. La Maison d’Otis is perfectly positioned between Monaco and the Italian border, and the coastal trains make it easy to visit a different destination each day, including Ventimiglia, Monaco, Èze, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Nice, Antibes and Cannes. There is something beautiful to discover at nearly every train stop.

Central Nice is approximately 28 km away, with direct TER trains reaching Menton in around 45 to 50 minutes. From Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, guests can take the train from nearby Nice Saint-Augustin station, approximately a seven minute walk from Terminal 1 or a short free tram ride from either terminal. The complete airport journey generally takes about one hour.

Uber is also available directly from both terminals at Nice Airport. The airport is approximately 40 km from Menton, and the drive usually takes between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on traffic.

Guests arriving by car will find secure, paid public parking in the modern underground Parking Vieille Ville Sablettes, directly below the Old Town and opposite the beach. The parking garage is open 24 hours and is just steps from the home. Parking fees are not included and spaces are subject to availability.
